starsOkay book, no real companion site
The book is okay as far as textbooks go, but there is no real companion site. Most textbooks have decent companion sites with study guides, quizzes, glossary, etc. This one has none of that, only the slides that go with the chapter.

starsSelf study
This book is perfect and studied for self study without universities. It reads simple, has a perfect index and interesting information.

starsVery poorly organized and written book
This is one of the worst books, which I read at all. The headings and the sub-titles are frequently very confusing; which should be, sub-title is registered frequently in the same font/size/color as its appropriate heading. It is hard to more dicipher very, as sometimes the authors classify things. Some the classifications are very bad and not even parallel. E.G. on page, the authors data processing classify 88 under four "general approximations": Batch processing with successive documents, batch processing with direct files, batch processing with real time data acquisition and real-time application. The headings on page 88 are ALTERNATIVE DATAPROCESSING APPROXIMATIONS and BATCH PROCESSING WITH SUCCESSIVE DOCUMENTS (these headings have details font/size/color.), it class participants would be many more helpful, if the pressure is the four approximations in one font/size/color, that differently to the entire heading "of the ALTERNATIVES DATAPROCESSING APPROXIMATIONS." After reading off the following 6-7 sides of the discussion, I could help to shake not mine, head over the bad classification. To me data processing should be simply classified under 2 categories: Row and real time. The authors added more classifition with another criteria the document structure. However they mix these together categories. Which they designated ", the batch processing with real time data acquisition" is almost really fair half row and real time (in the whole to be probably designated batch processing should). So in essense, is the classification of the authors of the four approximations exactly the same as the following classification of the cars: (1) entangle red cars with 2 red cars of the doors (2) with 4 half-red doors (3), halfwhite white cars of the cars (4), which the discussion over everyone approaches, also. E.G. on page 95, under "the pile process with real time data acquisition" wrote the heading, which "the systems, which were examined up to now, describe author a process, by the negotiations in rows to a central position for transformation to the magnet carriers are sent. A popular alternative is to take negotiation data prisoner at its source in the real time. The real-time application is also called "on-line", because the system, in this case of the data acquisition part of it, is constantly present for the user. By distributing from of data input ability to the users, certain Verhandlungstoerungen at its source can be prevented or determined and repaired. The result is a negotiation document, which is free of most errorss, the data processing torments. Table 2-39 illustrates this approximation. Real time data acquisition knows with batch/sequential and batch/direct entrance update techniques to be used. In both cases however the negotiation document, which is produced in data acquisition the stage, must a structure of the direct access its." This is a straight example. I am of a computer science and OF the MIS background and box kind of the illustration out, which the authors try to say but many class participants are confused by this book and to weight itself about this book (that it is why I write this report).

starsModern, not Legacy AIS
It is a rare distinction a bookkeeping text book to have written this well-being exterior of the classroom worked on. I read this to update over my knowledge in this range and with a possible eye to the letters system documents or possibly a system of my sketched. The only topic, which I missed to see into the index respect which solves the coding problem, which would be allowed to produce an exact statement about circulation of money. Why this does not slam me to the top side of the request list among bookkeeping specialists, do not understand, but the treatment is insufficient up to now. The other text book of the note in the AIS range is by Gelinas and Sutton and could fill, which drillings exist in the text book Halls.
