Managerial Statistics Text book
It was the text book the professor wanted me to buy.
It was good.

The book is very good with really good explanations and examples on descriptive analysis and inferential analysis.


Better Title: Intro to Statistics using Excel Add-ins
On the positive side, this book has many excellent case studies and examples. It is well written and interesting. However, I was disappointed, as I was expecting use of Excel to rigorously solve decision making and data analysis problems. The focus of the book is mostly traditional statistics solved using a group of commercial add-ins for Excel. If this is what you want, then the book would get five stars. However, for data analysis and decision making, I think a more thorough treatment using Excel without relying so much on the add-ins would have been appropriate.


Serious Excel 2000 Problem
The libretto is large. I have many of Winstons other books and her am large all. The palisade material work straight finely. However the StatPro Addin, which accompanies this text, works not with ms exceeds 2000. I approached chap HIM that the authors referred me to -- he was stumped. It gave straight above and suggested returns I my book for a rueckerstattung, because it could not explain from it. Again the book is large, but the StatPro Addin sucks!


No trouble with Excel
I find the text and the software a useful set of tools. It accepts confidenceness with fundamental statistics and exceeds, and buildings on them to develop to the one powerfull ability analize data and makes decisions of it. I did not experience a trouble with the software attach or enterprise.


MS Office 2000 compatability problems!!
Just purchased the book as a tool for MBA classes. However, after installing the accompanying CD ROM add-ons I had problems accessing MS Office programs. A critical .DLL file was modified by the program during my installation. I think the program was made to run with MS Excel 97. Another suggestion for the author is to include an answers CD ROM for the problems contained in the text so that students and professionals can check their work.


Excellent MBA - level textbook and software.
Finally MBA probability/statistics exceed course and ms were standardized in a text book. The attached software is, particularly decision tree large (probably the only exceed-created software for adoption of resolutions). Class participants like business oriented excersises in the book. In high of degrees recommended.


Strong Software Addition:
This book was inserted together into the same ' spirit ' as preceding different Winston books; good examples, better thought from attack approaches; as well as a good summary of all kinds of problems found in the text! I have some different one from Winston books, therefore I am quite lucky with its work! I grow few frustrated with Winston et aluminium over the fact that they do not offer solutions or answers the many to exercise problems, which will contain during the text. I do not think that Winston states that specialists buy these books outside of the classroom and not the luxury of a professor have, who divides answers to the problems. This is, where I think that he can improve. The software adding, of that palisades was an excellent adding to the text! I had possessed already, many of the commercial versions however found that the Suite, with the text, was presupposed fair as durable as my small versions.


Very good book but software is a source of troubles
The book is one exteremely good source of the theory and the problems. However software is to accompany a reason for many disappointments. There is undokumentierte bugs and compatibility expenditures. Something auxiliary material for the book is missing yet and customer service could have been better.


Weighs more than the one we used in Grad School
When I A behind class participants of Dr. Zappes at the university of Florida, which used a book of Dr. Winston 1992, would have to say the fact that it weighs more strenths and the size of my left bicep and foreman therefore increasing which forces bad adjustment of my thorn.
