starsNot the best for undergrad international economics
As an instructor teaching with a undergrad international economic sciences, I employed this handbook as a reading indicated for the class. There are several merits about this handbook: simplicity, tons of real examples, and description punt. Unfortunately, there are several disadvantages about this book which I cannot be held: 1. The typos, there are much of typos in this 9th. Some of them equal were correctly printed on 8th. 2. Miss models of econ.: I can see at which difficult point it is to write a realworld-directed international handbook of econ. with more intuition and less models of intimidation of maths. But what makes economic sciences different from other social science are the powerful models which give us perspicacities and prospects. Sometimes it is easier to include/understand complicated international economic sciences with some simple models. I do not think that Carbaugh made the models of offer of an econ. of the good work with where we need the majority, particularly in the balance of payments and the policies of government part. I can accept the simple and intuitive explanation, but I cannot accept exaggerated simplification. 3. Redundancy: Carbaugh spend the major part of the handbook speaking about the international trade but not enough on international finance. There are several matters in the international trade which can be combined and some matters in the international finance which can be more elaborate. But I think that it is the choice of the author. In conclusion, I think that it is a good book if you want to have a general idea about international economic sciences. But I will not recommend them for the use in the becuase of class simply which it raises more questions than it explains.

starsClarity of writing makes topic accessible
I had DR. Carbaugh as a student with UW EUA Claire, and appreciated the clearness of his conferences. Its book is almost like good. My (first) edition is motionless interesting to consult when I have the occasion to teach the econ..

starsWonderful book, profound observations
This book gave me a really major arrangement of international economic sciences, markets and macro-economy. However, the material in this book requires the knowledge of some foundations of economic sciences

starsFantastic! Easy to read, even for non-econ. people...
First of, I must confess that I am prejudiced about this book, because the author, honorable Dr. Robert Carbaugh, was my economics Professor at the University. But, seriously now, I was not an economics major and I also was not a very good student, meaning I missed far too many classes...But, whenever I sat down to read the book, it was very easy to catch up with the rest of the class. In fact, even if you are not a student at all, but just interested in the basics of international economics, you would still find this book very useful. I took four other economics classes and all of them were boring, mainly because of the teachers' inability to teach well. This book, however, is a reflection of a good-natured, quick witted, and highly intelligent economist, who TEACHES REAL STUFF EVERY DAY to the average university students and manages to keep their attention. It's a hell of a job to do that HERE, I tell you!

starsbook is simple
Hi, I am a Grad Student. I have gone through this book. Looks nice & simple. But I suggest he(Author) could have given some more examples for this writings. Thanks. Yours truly, Praveen Kumar
