One of the best basic finance textbooks
Mayo is a free author, who has to understand a skill for forming this material simply. They to be able would like to compare with its other (less expensive) text books, which are even more fundamental and understandable. They should the text books be also regarded, those by Bodie, Kane and Marcus be written. These books are a little more technical. I estimate that most class participants, who use any of these books buy only, which is assigned. Mayo is possibly to be understood the simplest.


I have the teacher
Great book and great teacher...I won't sell this book because I've learned too much from it and it will help me later on in life I'm sure.


One word.........BORING
This is by far the worst business book I have ever owned. I could hardley make it half a page without my mind wandering. It needs more real life examples to make it more appealing and understandable to the layperson.

Solid Introductory Investment Textbook
Mayos "investments" takes nearly all relevant topics prisoner within an increasingly complicated financial border by the unsecured commitment instruments and the choice strategies complicated from the cheapness expenditures to. I would have seen further mention of the speculative Fonde liked, as important money seems, into these instruments to pour and the class participants of the investment would win, by knowing more about the different strategies, which use her and the acting used units. Excellent review of all possible finance instruments
It is a text book vs a simple reading book, however the author has done an excellent job of presenting the concepts in simple to understand format. With well writtem text and informative graphs the concepts easy to understand. Covers all types in investments instruments from stocks, bonds, options, futures and portfolio construction.
