One of the best basic finance textbooks
Mayo is a clear author who has a talent to make this material easy to include/understand. You can wish to compare with its other handbooks (less expensive) which are much more fundamental and comprehensible. You should also look at the handbooks written by Bodie, Kane and Marcus. These books are slightly more technical. I guess that the majority of the students employing unspecified these books buy only what is assigned. It is perhaps easiest to include/understand Mayo.


I have the teacher
Large book and large professor... I will not sell this book because I learned that too much him and him will help me later in the life where I am sure.


One word.........BORING
This is by far the worst business book I have ever owned. I could hardley make it half a page without my mind wandering. It needs more real life examples to make it more appealing and understandable to the layperson.

Solid Introductory Investment Textbook
The "investments" of Mayo captures almost all the subjects suitable in an increasingly complex financial border of the simple instruments of loan and exits of stockholders' equity with the complex strategies of option. I would like to however see more mention of the funds of cover, as the significant money seems to pour in these instruments and the student of the investment would gain by knowing more about the various strategies that they use and commercial mechanisms used. Idem for the exchange traded of the funds (ETFs). With that said, although, Mayo does a fine work providing a complete base on the world of investment. Full reference work. 4 forts Holds the first role.


Excellent review of all possible finance instruments
It is a handbook against a simple book of reading, however the author did an excellent work to present the concepts in simple including/understanding the format. With the good text of writtem and the instructive graphs concepts easy to include/understand. Cover the whole seizes instruments of investments of stocks, obligations, options, of future and construction of booklet.
