A Good Book for Finance/IT majors
This book does what it sets out to do: teach spreadsheet modeling. I'm only on the third chapter, but the author does a good job including step by step instructions on how to create winning models. The author is also very easy to understand. So if you're going to be doing optimization and modeling in your work, I highly recommend this book.


Great book, and includes @RISK
Ragsdale really makes spreadsheet modeling accessible to real-world business situations. It was a great asset to my MBA coursework. As a student, it came with a free student version of @RISK risk analysis software as well.

Good book , worth to read
This book is designated as the textbook for our master's level management modeling class. The author concerntrated on the application of Microsoft Solver to solve various of optimazation problems that we freqently faced in the real business opreations. Overall, this is good book for entry-level management modeling study.


Well Written, Clear, and To The Point
Yes, this book is expensive. Yes, the topic is rather dry. But if you do not preview the dry topic, than what been making graduated school? I do not have natural talent in the analysis, particularly when that analysis is involved the mathematics. This book, while rendering it affinchè me particularly easy they do not understand modellistica and decision analysis, sure facilitated the process to learn to understand it. The style of writing of the Ragsdale is directed E-$$$-PUNTO. I have introduced the additional advantage of taken of the this code category from Dr. Ragsdale. Its style to speak sends back to its style of writing. Every phrase follows the other logically, so as to the student easy does not go to the drift or he does not obtain lost. Is this picked handbook an easy one? Not especially. But it is for a code category of the laure-level, so as to the easy reading would not have to be previewed. This book promotes to understand and to learn? Absolutely.

This book is a great Sleeping aid
I was required to buy this book for a first year MBA course, and i found myself unable to stay awake for more than one page at a time. Not so much the author but the subject matter is enough to make one comatosed.

Ragsdale is a true master not only of spreadsheet modeling, but also of explaining complex things simple and understandable. More textbooks should have such a high quality.


Best MBA Level Book on Optimization
This book was a handbook for the first code demanded category of search of operations of MBA of year to Berkeley. I have rinunziato to the code category, but I have bought the book however and still occasionally I refer like necessary state. Ragsdale makes a job excellent that it explains like installing and resolving the problems of search of operations in MS eccella.


Book was very informative and useful
Book was great but I couldn't believe the price when I saw it. I can get the same book for about $20 less. Anyways thank you!
