This book traces what took place since Konstantin Stanislavski placed in place research for the "truth". A very useful and instructive text covering 14 of the principal movements in the training of actor of the twentieth century. It is a great distillation of the principal elements of each aproach. The significant discussion of the experts and their contexts includes. A great choice for no matter whom interested in the development of the contemporary theatre. As a professor of drama I find this a great resource for students. This one honours my rack which it should also be on yours.
